Elaine, some people refer to Larry Norman as the grandfather of contemporary Christian music. He was condemned by many Christians for years because of it. In the 60s and 70s you couldn’t be a Christian man, have long hair, and sing rock songs. His songs weren’t fluffy, either. He sang about the drug culture of the 60s, the war in Vietnam, popular culture, life in general. But he always pointed to Jesus as the answer.
If you go to Youtube you can find some other videos, too.
